I happen to notice number sequences. I guess that I like patterns of all kinds, and sequences of numbers are just another kind of pattern. When I started my real learning path to understanding angels, I took the plunge and signed up to study with Doreen Virtue in Hawaii. The time between signing up for ATP training and the actual class was spent getting to know the other "interns" on a message board. I learned about "threads" and "replies" and also got a fascinating introduction to topics on spirituality and especially angels.
One thread caught my eye about Angel Numbers because I had been noticing certain numbers in my life: like looking up suddenly and the time showing 11:11 (which by-the-way is the number for Spiritual Awakening) or waking up at the exact same time in the middle of the night for days in a row. I learned that numbers are just one way that angels use to communicate with us, and I found the book Angel Numbers written by Doreen Virtue and Lynnette Brown. Once I started looking up the various numbers that I was seeing to find out what the message meant, a feeling of awe and wonder overtook me. It is transporting to feel that you are in communication with your angels; that they are real; and that conversations are not only possible, but an integral part of God's plan of peace.
I have had the good fortune to be invited to sing in the chorus of a small opera company - The American Center for Puccini Studies. I love to sing and have been taking lessons from a wonderfully talented woman for the past couple years. She and her husband run the opera company and invite many of their students to participate as a way to grow and gain confidence in their abilities. This past week, as I was preparing to travel to a nearby college for our first performance, I had a crisis of confidence. My ego was working overtime to convince me that I had no business whatsoever pretending to be able to sing, especially opera, most notably in Italian.
Now I've been around the block a few times, and I can recognize ego at work but still felt frozen in place, uncertain and unworthy. What I've learned on this path is that when we are "in fear," we cannot hear the angels' messages. It's as if we've built a sound-proof booth around us, and we allow our inner unloving voice to completely take over. This is where a loving group of like-minded friends (your tribe, your soul-sisters, your kindred spirits) is invaluable. I quickly logged-in to my group and posted a prayer request explaining how I was feeling and asking for help - a spiritual SOS. Almost immediately they started posting encouragement, reminding me of my truth and asking extra angels to come to my aid. The shift in energy I felt was palpable, and I relaxed into sleep trusting that everything would be in Divine and perfect order the following day.
